My local Scope also sells new ex-catalogue stuff. Personally I find the quality quite poor - I'd rather have better-made second-hand things, but I'm sure you could find decent stuff amongst it.

I'm wearing my £5 jeans today and they're great! Might see if they have another pair in my size.

In the Essex Suffolk area, a chain of shops called QD often sell ex GAP clothing along with other high street stores last year I purchased for my beloved a pair of navy linen trousers for the pricely sum of £2.99. You do have to rummage through the rails and look hard though.

In Redhill Surrey there is a shop called Choice which sells Next seconds/end of lines - ladies, mens, kids, shoes, etc. Think there are a few of these shops around but poss in this locality. Only problem is you can't try them on (never sure why this is!) but can be returned (not sure if you only get a credit note though).

There is a factory shop which does ex M+S (inc per una) and sometimes Gap and other brands - its called Dewhirst Impressions.

Locations are: North Seaton, Redcar, Peterlee, Sunderland, Swansea, Driffield.

Also, if you sign up to their mailing list, you get a card every 3/4 months inviting you to their new sales, with a £5 voucher with no minimum send on it.

You have to look around quite a bit to find anything nice, but on occasions, I have used the card to get lovely M+S jeans (from the limited collection) for about £1-3.

The Boyes in Grimsby is indeed still going strong.

I love it in there - it has the atmosphere of a low-rent Grace Brothers, but there is always a bargain to be had if you look closely enough!

I got 2 Marks and Spencer t-shirts in a small local clothes shop last week.

Black and a brown one, lovely fit / material £4 each :)
