RAC heavy duty pressure washer £59.99 (£60.00 off!) at Woolies

Tis the season for great pressure washer hunts methinks......I don't need one this year having benefitted from last year's hunt but this looks a good buy at Woolworths: http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/product/index.jhtml;jsessionid=0LHW2RKWCMKLDLAQ1QFSFFA?pid=50561812&_requestid=4257

ands it has a "high revolution turbo function" !!**

(sorry I never know how to do a link....) P&P is £4.95 but I imagine you can order them in store too.

Went to the Norwich Riverside branch this afternoon and they had what I think is a previous model but with the same spec marked at £49.99 (it scanned at £59.99 but when queried it was put through at £49.99). Absolute bargain. :j  :T

Weird? I ordered this from the website on Saturday and it was £49.99 now it seems to have gone back up to £59.99!

Still it looks a good buy for the money.

Keep looking at these, but seeing as we have had had a hosepipe ban for over a year now, there seems little point!!!!!

Would you believe that even during a hosepipe ban you can still wash patios paths, garden furniture, toys etc with your pressure washer - you're just not allowed to water your garden or wash your car/bike with it!
  • Wow if it's RAC it must be good...really gonna make me rush out and buy it if its got their name on it :)
The Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!
  • Another alternative is the Draper pressure washer:

That is not true, or if it is allowed that is crazy.
It does not actually mention washing patios/paths, so who knows ?

    Hosepipe and Sprinkler Ban

There is now a ban on the use of hosepipes or sprinklers for the watering of private (i.e. domestic) gardens, or for the washing of private cars, caravans or trailers. It is the first time in 15 years that Thames Water has implemented a ban.

So what you're actually saying is that you don't know if it's true ot not?!!

    Good contribution. :T

Well, I actually did phone them (before I made my original posting) & it is true. The only thing their hosepipe ban can prevent you from doing, is using a hosepipe (or pressure washer) to wash a car/motorbike/caravan etc *OR* water the garden...give them a call yourself before making yourself look stupid (again).

As the other poster said, I agree it's perhaps not a particular "community-esque" thing to do (hence my new gleaming 2550W Lavor pressure washer bought from Lidl for the bargain price of £79 is now assembled but remains totally unused). :A

The specification isn't top notch...there are much better buys around even at this latest reduced Woolworth's price.
