Condenser dryer is tripping electricity

I have a white knight condenser tumble dryer (about 3yrs old). For the past few weeks whenever I use it, it 'trips' the electricity? I have recently thought it was taking longer to dry a load and seemed to get hotter than it used to. Could the thermostat be overheating maybe? It used to cut of electricity after an hour or so at first but just put it on this evening and within 10 mins electricity had tripped!
Another thing is my new washer is a 7kg load whilst the dryer is only 6kg. I always remove a few things if drying a full wash load, but maybe not enough? Could I be overfilling dryer?
Sitting here melting with 2 loads of washing drapped all around the house on the radiators!!!!

If buy tripping electricity you mean the fuse breakers trip out then there is a problem with your Dryer, thermostats don't overheat they control the heating process just like an iron. Get the machine looked by a qualified person"Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

You dont say if its tripping the RCD or a resettable fuse.
If its the RCD then the element has probably gone, it may be corroded, cracked or leaking. If its a resettable fuse then the fuse itself could be underrated or faulty.
Get someone in to check it out, particularly the earth leakage and insulation resistance.0 -
I had the same problem a few weeks ago.
Ours tripped the fuse when the dryer was on high setting.
I took it apart looking for bushes on the motor, but there werent any on our dryer.
I noticed that if you pushed the dryer on its front and drained any liquid from it...it worked ok. Dont ask me where it came from
I'm not talking about the heat shrink or the condensate bottle as I had already removed them. But by removing excess water from somewhere it made the dryer work.
Have had no problems since.

Yup fuse breaker trips. Called an electrician out a couple of years back for the same problem after a few questions and a look at the electrics he told me to buy a new iron!!!! Said they were the worst thing if faulty to cause this problem? He was right, lent my iron to a neighbour a couple of days later and she had exactly the same problem!**************************************

Mines always on high. Now you mention it I have noticed a little water on the floor in front of the dryer a few times? No more than a couple of teaspoonsful or so but have no idea where its coming from? I'll try draining it and giving the filters a good clean. Cheers Rob.**************************************
