Someone able to review my redundancy pay please?

I wonder if someone in the know could review this for me. It may not be a lot of money but it is to me, makes a lot of difference.

I started employment on – 19/02/07
Employment ends – 29/05/09

So saying 2 years complete service

DOB – 04/04/86

Now they saying both years are classed 21 and under. Because my second complete year started at 19/02/08 I would have been 21 for another 2 months. Is this correct.
That I only receive a weeks pay in redundancy and not 1.5 weeks, i.e.
1 years at 21 and under and 1 year 22-40. just because it may have started before I was 22 by 2 months, even though been here for 2 years and 3months.

thankyou
johnathan

I think they have got it wrong.

You have a complete year of service over the age of 22.

using a calculator with your dates it gives
    http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/wSRStart?topicId=1079123862&r.l1=1073858787&r.l3=1079123792&r.lc=en&r.l2=1073876974&r.s=e

    The employee's name: A B

The redundancy payment has been calculated in accordance with the statutory redundancy scheme as set out in the Employment Rights Act 1996.
How are statutory redundancy payments calculated?

For each complete year of service, up to a maximum of 20 years, employees are entitled to:
    • 0.5 week's pay for each full year of service where age was less than 22
    • 1 week's pay for each full year of service where age was 22 or above, but less than 41
    • 1.5 weeks' pay for each full year of service where age was 41 or above
The statutory redundancy payment is £525.00

    Details of calculation:

    0.5 x £350.00 x 1 = 0.5
    1.0 x £350.00 x 1 = 1
    Total = £525.00

Employees being made redundant are entitled to a written statement of their redundancy payment and how it was calculated. You could print this page and add it as an annex to any letter you may send to your employee.

    thanks very much.

i put my detaisl ina gain and i get that. even with it capped at 350 a week i should be having more than they say.

i just need to be able to print out a formal word that says i am due 1.5 weeks. able to point me to that bit, so i can print off and give it to them to say i am due 1.5 not 1 weeks as per that link
