Advice on best postage to use please.

I recently asked about listing clothes on ebay and I received some good advice as nearly everything is sold with a few days still to go but I now need advice on sending the items which are all ladies clothes.

I have wrote down the sizes for a large letter and a packet but wondered if it would be best to use ordinary first or second class and/or pay the extra for tracking? Perhaps you can suggest the best combination to use

I think I have charged enough in most cases to use the most expensive combination if need be.

Can I just add that they are selling from 99p to £36.

Thank you.

Recorded is often not worth the money, but make sure you get certificates of posting (which are free :j), and make sure you keep them safe.
Normal post will cover you up to £39.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Hi, i charge between 2.20(for tops) and 2.80(for jeans and dresses etc..), i don't send recorded as it takes me too long (a night-mare when you have 20+ parcels to post), i send 2nd class unless i am late posting then i send 1st class. I roughly get 1 in 100 parcels go missing (mainly overseas), i always refund if they get lost in the post but as most of my items sell for under 5.00 i don't bother putting in a claim (even though i should) as it takes so long to fill in the form and get your money back.

I do free postage on all my auctions usually use 1st class standard. But if the buyer looks dodgy, I'll take the hit and do recorded.

i use royal mail business account for send the items, usually we have more than 40 parcel a day.

If the item cost me low than 8 pounds, i will use 2nd class, coz all my actions offer free postage , if the value is over 8 pounds we will send them 2nd recorded. you will have 10% discount when you use royal mail business account. ( just put them into mail bags and drop to postoffice)

I am interested in why you use recorded for an item that has a gross total price of £8? That costs you almost 10% of the gross amount received before even considering ebay and paypal fees and the rest of the packing and postage.
