Pinnicale PPI never received T's & C's

Hi I have a PPI and GAP with Pinniacle Insurance on a car loan taken out in Apr 2007. I have never received any policy documents for either and have a feeling we will not be covered if we needed it, due to pre exsisting medical and max time covered. Only realised after checking this site we might be missold. Do I write to Pinnacle first or to the finance company who sold the policy to us. we tried to canacel the PPI a few months back through the finance company but they said we could not.
Any advice would be great.

Hi There I would try just ringing up Pinnacle and very politely asking them for copies of their terms and conditions. (Making sure they were from the date you took out the Loan and not up to date T and C. If you try that first it may be quicker than getting stroppy. If they do not comply then post back and we can guide you onto the next step. By the way if you complain you do so to the company or agent that actually sold you the PPI.

Let us know how you get on.

I had PPI with Pinnacle. They wrote to me stating the PPI, although signed for at the time did cover Unemployment, when it actually did not. Then they wanted to up my premium. They are giving me the money back. Keep on at them, as i wont be the only one they fleeced

    Hi there

We are with Pinnacle, and gone up as well, think this is due to the amount of claims they are dealing with due to so many job losses.

    Good luck with your reclaim.;)

Pinnacle are a major supplier of PPI plans. However, what they offer varies considerably between firms. So, just because it says Pinnacle on it doesnt mean its the same as yours.

Going back a long time, I know one loan firm that gave out the PPI policy doc with the loan papers. Pinnacle didnt have to post them as they didnt personally issue them.

Standalone PPI and MPPI have gone up in price and that is understandable. They fell during the good years so you can expect them to rise in the bad.

Standalone PPI and MPPI shouldnt be mixed up with loan PPI as again, they have different terms. Indeed, if everyone had standalone monthly premiums then there really wouldnt have been this issue in the first place.
