Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Not sure where to post this.
If you are not in when your parcel is delivered, it gets taken to your nearest sorting office? And do you have to pay to go and collect your parcels?

If it's royal mail then yes, they will leave a card saying which sorting office it's at, the opening hours and how long you need to wait before collecting.

You will need to take the card + ID down there when you collect. If there is a fee it will say on the card Usually it's just too big for your letter box or needs a signature, in which case there's no charge.

No there shouldn't be a fee, it's just a calling card to let you know that you have a parcel at the depot. Just make sure you take the calling card and some ID!

some are taken to delivery offices whereas in sime areas they are taken to post offices
