Help. Niece entering into credit agreements she can't afford at her parent's address

I had this with the woman who used to own my house. I was getting credit agreements for my house even though she'd not lived there for a year.
Sorry to say that although it's not legal, I simply filled out their "change of address" slip to her new address and I never heard from them again.
I know what I did wasn't right, but as far as i was concerned, in this case, two wrongs did make a right."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0

Sounds like you were just being kind enough to make sure she had all her mail.
The banks don't care, really. Nat West went to an evening thing at DD's 6th form. She asked if she could have a free baseball cap and they said yes, if she had an account. Problem was, although she was at school and had no income, she was 18, so they gave her a guarantee card as well (her older brother was refused one despite having worked for 3 years). 3 months later they made her take out a £1,000 loan to pay off her unauthorised overdraft.
That was where i stepped in (screaming, I'm ashamed to say); I paid off her debt, £600 of which was interest and charges (which I claimed back 2 years later thanks to this site). I admit that DD spent the £400 without a thought of the consequences (she didn't know how a cheque guarantee card worked and thought they'd given her an overdraft - clearly she hadn't thought how she'd pay it back), but Nat West were adamant that they'd done nothing wrong in giving all that spending power to a penniless schoolgirl.0
