Nurses tax reclaim

I expect the RCN are trying to be helpful, but all a nurse (or similar) needs to do is to write setting out the professinal subs paid and the amounts and also claiming the fixed rate expense allowance. Its striaghtforward.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

Interesting. So - dont the employer include the standard allowance in their salary anyway?0

An employer may well put an allowance in someone's pay to cover the cost of laundry, special clothing, etc, but if it was included with salary, it would be taxed under the PAYE system, so the employee would still need to claim relief for these items under expenses.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
