16 port switch - daft question

If it's silent it will be actively cooled, most small modern ones are, only the larger more powerful 24-port+ are actively cooled nowadays. Even a 16-port fast switch I was running quite a few years ago was fanless.
Don't open it up, just install and away you go.0
