Before you do anything as drastic as that, try getting properly measured and buying a "perfect" bra. Sometimes a soft bra can augment your breast better than a padded one - you might be suprised! Try one of the specialist shops that offer the bra fitting services, like Bravissimo http://www.bravissimo.com/

My sister has just had her's done for £4000 and they are fully insured for 5 years.

I had mine done about 12 years ago they are still fine and don't need replacing, replacement is all about how you look after them really, big changes in weight, or having kids "can" mean they need replacing as your body changes and they can move i got lucky mine where/are fine despite having 2 kids.

when i had mine i was in hospital over night and i needed to take 1 week off work, was in reasonable pain for a few days but was up, about and driving within a week. (mine where unders)

My sister had hers over the muscle and she was throwing my 7 year old within 3 days with almost no pain, and was out of hospital within 4 hours of coming out of surgery tbh other than some mild discomfort she seemed fine within 24hours of having them done.

Looking back i got mine done for the wrong reasons, my husband at the time wanted them doing so i didn't have alot of choice in the matter.

But that said i've never had any real reason to regret it, they don't look/feel natural really mostly because im quite small and they are quite big haha but if they needed replacing for what ever reason, i would replace rather than remove if i could afford it but i may go down a cup size of two as finding 28FF bras is a royal pain in the !!!.

Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I am very glad to here

I paid £1500 for mine last November. I went to Belgium and with flights and hotel for me and my partner for 3 days including food was a little over £2000.
If your completely sure about going for it, I would maybe look into abroad. The private hospital I went too was more like a 5 start hotel, marble floors, impecably clean, it made me feel really confident about it, much better than some of the hospitals in the UK.

Most surgeons will go through the nipple for a standard breast augmentation, like mine. The scars are absolutley tiny and hardly visable even now less than a year later. I was also up and moving about properly with in 3 days, driving back and work and everything.

They also used the implants designed for recontructive surgery, which are meant to last indefinately aslong as there taken care of. The Surgeon said there was no reason to replace them ever unless I wanted them changed.

    Overall very happy.

I am happy with the size of mine but they are uneven and would consider surgery to match them up a bit more.
However I've seen on TV that sometimes the nipple has to be moved and I would worry about lose of sensation :o:o:o:o:o. Does anyone know if this happens?

My surgery didn't involve removing the whole thing, but they went through the nipple. Sensation loss is definately a possibility, its happened with me, but it gradually comes back over time. There's still a few areas that are less sensitive, but its not a huge problem, it doesn't feel strange or anything

  • A friend paid £4000 to have it done by a cosmetic surgeon in Birmingham. He was rated on the Cosmetic Surgery Forums UK. She is well pleased and her husband too.
  • Cost of a plastic surgery totally depends on the surgeon you are opting as there are many surgeons all over the world charging different fees for the same procedure based on their experience and practice. So, it is always better to search for the exact details about the cost of breast augmentation surgery ad plan accordingly well in advance.

I had mine done around 9 years ago - I asked my GP for a referral to a plastic surgeon who specialised in breast work and ended up seeing an NHS consultant privately who was did a lot of breast reconstructions for cancer patients amongst other ops. I paid £4,800 for it, so definitely not cheap especially as it was so many years ago now. However, I was totally happy with the surgeon and his work, he was extremely well thought (of on a national level) and I never had any post-op problems. Due to my frame I had over the muscle implants, and am now starting to think that they need to be replaced which I will do after I've finished having kids and breast feeding etc. I will go back to see the same guy.
So my advice would be to ask your GP who they would recommend!
Oh - and unless I told people, nobody knew I had them. They don't have to look unnatural!
Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are usually right.

This is what I want but not just for bigger boobs, mine are completely different sizes and shapes and mow after all of my children they dont look right even if they are an e/f cup (well one is!!)

My gp is an older gentleman with quite high morals so would feel v uncomfy talking to him, but just don't want to go to one of the companies that will sell me a boob job!

I need to know they can do corrective work not justboob jobs.

I had mine done in 2002 - they cost about 5k I think (not sure as wrote an article on it for the Mirror and got loads of money off as a result, so actual cost was about 1500)

    My surgeon was Dai Davies.

I'm really pleased, went from 36 less-than-AA to a 34D BUT I do now sometimes wish I'd gone a bit smaller (Bcup). I've had no trouble with mine at all but the op is VERY painful for some time afterwards.

They don;t move the nipple - that is for reductions, but you do get a scar under each breast. I have successfully breastfed with my implants in, but pregnancy has resulted in my boobs dropping a bit - they still look v natural though.

Make sure your surgeon is a member of BAPS or BAAPS. Personally I'd not go abroad as what would you do if you were back here post-op and had a problem? You wouldn;t be able to hop back on a plane to your surgeon. Uk surgeons are available for post-op care should you require it.

Just Googled - here's my article. No pics though, sorry. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/M+Real+Lives%3A+Diary+of+a+boob+job%3B+More+women+than+ever+before+are...-a093110977
