when do Sonicare Brushes go on offer?

Shays Mum, that's a battery toothbrush not an electrical rechargeable like the OP was talking about. These are usually only £30-odd anyway so not a huge saving.
(although I do understand someone might be interested, so thanks for posting
).

opps sorry!, just got excited as i have a sonicare & they are the best!!

Ps I must be blind don't see a mention in the OP about re-chargeable/battery!No one said it was gonna be easy!0 -
I see what you mean
, I was going by the prices and people talking about the different models - all those mentioned are mains charged.
Usually battery powered items don't have the power of mains ones, and you'd be forever buying batteries. I know my sonicare takes hours to charge for not that many mins worth of brushing if you see what I mean.

I love my sonicare as it was reduced from either £110 or £99 from superdrug at xmas to £9.99 so I treated my family members and there were still plenty left on the shelves afterwards. It was a bargain and we all have lovely shiny clean smooth teeth....:hello:Time2start a new year diet for a new me:j0

We own both (a Sonicare and Oral
, so I feel I can comment on this a bit with accuracy.
I first had a Sonicare Elite, probably 5 to 6 years ago, this was a good brush, but the heads were expensive, it died on me last year - battery wouldn't charge so I thought I'd try something else.
We first bought a top of the range Oral B Triumph from Boots when it was on offer over Christmas. I didn't like it at all - holding the handle is clumsy, it's badly designed - too easy to change the mode of cleaning via the buttons when brushing and it is heavy and noisy. But more importantly for me, I found the Oral B cleaning to be far too harsh and furious - it didn't leave my teeth feeling as clean as the older Sonicare, I also noticed it didn't clean behind the teeth as well. So my OH uses this not me... But she admits the sonicare is a better design and solution too.
I bit the bullet and spent a lot on a new Philips Sonicare Flexcare HX6932 with the UV Sanitiser (again top of the range). This is a revelation, it's much better than the old sonicare, and much better IMO than the Oral B. The handle is much smaller, lighter and better designed. The brush itself cleans better, is more gentle but effective and brush heads aren't too expensive, a pack of 4 can be had online for £20 - so if you only change the head every 6 months, that's 2 years worth. (The flexcare heads are small at the base, unlike the old huge Elite ones which I'd definitely avoid as they are difficult to keep clean, are expensive to replace etc.
My OH uses the Braun Triumph and I use the Sonicare Flexcare. The Sonicare holds a good 5 days more charge than the new Oral B Triumph too.
Both the Oral B Triumph and Sonicare Flexcare have modern built in rechargable batteries which hold more charge and should last a lot longer than the older NiCad brushes. Both take around 20 hours to fully charge, the Oral B lasts for 10 to 15 days, the Sonicare 15 to 20 days depending on usage, but the Sonicare lasts for several days longer for a similar 2 x 2 min brush per day.
Personally I could never use the Oral B brush, for me I found it very poor in design and results in comparison with the new Flexcare from Sonicare.0
