Really want one but they are up at high prices again e.g. some brushes really were down to £40-50 at xmas or something but at the moment the same models are up to £60-90

Thanks

Some for £20. Depending on the model you want.
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:

    Short answer - they don't.

There are some Ebay traders that give it to you slightly cheaper, but they are very seldom on offer - I can only recall it ever being on offer once (at Boots I think).

The 2 main toothbrushes are the Phillips Sonicare Elite and the Braun Oral B.
The Sonicare is best for gentle brushing very fast (e.g. if you have tea stains from drinking lots of tea). The Oral B is better if you want to get rid of plaque and other harder stuff stuck to your teeth.

Oral B is on offer fairly often though (I think Boots has it on offer a lot of the time).

That's the problem with Sonicare, their replacement heads are never on offer - even above where I mentioned that its been on offer once, it was for the main toothbrush where in that situation it was worth getting to get a replacement head.

    Sonicares are high maintenance.

We used to have a sonicare, but got fed up with the very high price of the replacement brushes.
We now have an Oral B.

So moral of the story is.
Always look at the ongoing costs and not the unfront ones.
I know everyone does that when they get a car, but a lot of us don't consider it when we are buying a toothbrush.

You usually find they go on offer straight after Oral-B discount their ones - but that is usually on the run up to Christmas. Sorry to not have more info for you, but they are worth the wait!

have a read of lots of reviews before you buy though, some models in oral b are particularly prone to batteries that give up after a couple of years

there was a sonicare model on offer in boots a couple of months ago, i got it in boots it made a noticeable difference to the whiteness of my teeth so my mum bought one off amazon at the same price. actually just had a look and that model is still fairly cheap on amazon

    rambling - sorry!

I got my sonicare from Amazon for £50 when Argos were selling it for £98.99 or something, and last December I bought my Girlfriend's Sonicare from Boots for about £50-60.

Hi, yes that same model was an astonishing £40 near christmas at Sainsbury's! £60 is cheapish, but still more then I can afford! This is the best model i think in terms of price, because the more expensive ones offer only extras and bits n bobs for essentially the same toothbrush.

I went to the dentist and she said my teeth/gums were generally good (but a lot of stains and tartar)
