sorry to hear about your HSBC hassles......most creditors are usually like that although I wouldnt worry you did the right thing.....and IF they call again just hang up
They can tell you what they like but in the end its all hot air because they cant do a damn thing about the debt as it's covered under your BRWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

Well done and congrats

Sammy, you did fine. You will get a lot of calls in between the OR notifying your creditors. Just tell them you are BR and give your BR number/county court if asked. Tell them the OR will be writing to them and not to bother you again. All creditors can check your details now on the insolvency register, so in theory, they have no real need to question you, or indeed you have no need to explain yourself. In a strange bizarre sort of way I rather enjoyed telling them.......0

If any of your creditors contact you from now on, throw letters in bin, and if you do end up speaking to them, tell them youre BR and your debt to them is included - dont listen to them at all, they cant do a thing to you!:j Goodbye debt - Hello sanity! :j0

Hello All,
Well, I had a chat with my OR today. He needed to ask me a copule of questions before my interview which is scheduled for the 1st June at 9.30am. He was really lovely, even arranged a phone interview because I can't drive.
Anyway, he said that he has no interst in my active Barclays basic bank account or my kiddies savings account (Thank God!! I was really worried about losing that, they only hold the pocket money they have received from family & friends). He will write to Barclays and let them know, so I will pop in and have a chat with them next week to make sure that everything is ok.
I feel so much better now, I am not especially worried about the OR interview as I have been honest on the forms and there is nothing much I can do about anything that happens from now on. My paperwork arrived this morning so I photocopied the BK order just in case I need to post them out.
I received a call from the Partnership card people and explained the situation, that was a worse call than the one with HSBC! They said that they can not stop calling me as the calls are automatically dialled so when they call again I will take philnicandamy's advice and hang up. When I got in from work this afternoon I dialed 1471 and discovered HSBC had called again - Never mind!
Today I was actually happy, especially after chatting to the OR. It is a good feeling to be looking forwards again, I have been consumed by this bancruptcy for so long now I think I had forgotton what that felt like!0 -
Hi SammyB - congratulations! Don't let the phone calls get you down they will soon cease. Enjoy the bank holiday - I hope we get some good weather.
