Returned item for a refund . . .

I purchased a lamp and after half hour it went off and wouldnt come back on. Seller agreed for me to return it and he would give me a full refund once he got it back. He arranged for the courier to come, Parcelforce, with their own address label!
It was collected a week ago so I chased up my refund today and the seller says hes not had it back! According to Parcelforce website it was delivered and signed for 2 days ago!
The seller insists he hasnt had it and says that the name on the signature isnt someone who works at his business.
Ive opened a paypal dispute but it doesnt give the option for returned but not refunded. Does anyone know where I stand or what i should do from here?

you'll need to do a SNAD and escalate to a dispute, then wait for paypal to get back to you and tell you to return it, once they do then enter the tracking no. you already have to confirm proof of delivery0

Ive tried ringing and no answer! His emails when I contacted him to say its faulty is very poor english spelling and grammar. When I rang him to arrange collection he went from Indian to Scottish accent and back which I found strangeWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
