  • You Seem To Post Confrontational Posts ,and You Seem So Clever And Run Your Life In Such A Perfect Way Why Visit This Site ?

I said - 'sorry, your post makes no sense'.

This means I don't understand what you are trying to say, not confrontational - I just don't understand - please explain.
  • The point is the banks are there to make money and we are here to save money. If we can get our money back why shouldn't we.

The point is that if this sort of thing continues then we will lose free banking and everybody will be penalised for the mistakes of a few. Why should I have to pay for other peoples mistakes ?
  • In Britain we all pay for others mistakes, it's called the welfare state.

So true :D Perhaps I should say 'Why should I have to pay even more for other peoples mistakes'.

Why should I have to pay for your banking?
Budget: a mathematical confirmation of your suspicions. A.A. Latimer
    Debt Jan 06: £103,000
    Current: £99,000
Debt-free date: 2465 (give or take a century)
Current homemade banana bread status: 2 slices left
    Current statement/letter stack: 8.6 inches
The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money
    :D

Have you been to the doctor or the hospital in the last six years? Because I haven't been to either! Why should I pay for your ill health?
  • yes to right i live in a remote area my councill tax does not reflect this, why should i pay for townie muppetts to have streat lights, pavements , busses, etc etc and i have never been in hospital i dont want to pay for that either, and oaps stuff the old gits winter fuel payments ,oh disabled why should my local shop give them special access he dont want to pay for that ,war in iraq i never told them to go ,fire engines ,police never needed them either :T smokers ,drinkers, fat people dont want to pay for them either GOD IM A SELFISH !!!!!!
  • Why should I have to pay for your banking?

Because you have abused your account knowing full well what the penalties are - you have a choice.

To all the other posts about the NHS council tax etc etc - they are all public services, we have no choice about paying for them regardless of how often we use them or how much they increase year on year. You cannot compare them to a bank account where we have numerous choices about where we go AND whether we incure charges or interest and it is facile to do so.

The only possible argument to support your case if that if everyone manged their accounts in order then the banks would have to withdraw free banking so we would end up paying - not very likely.

so damned if we do, damned if we dont. You originally said people should manage their accounts properly, now you're saying that people that don't manage their accounts properly are good, as they enable banks to give free banking, therefore benefiting you. So which argument is it then?
