I am bouncing mad !!!
Basically, to cut a very long story short, I took out a contract with Talk Talk ( TT ) a few months back. Told the rep I was moving home, he said it was no problem, sign up with them and I could call them when I move and they would sort things out.
I signed up and called them a month ago to tell them the date etc. Was told I had to stay with BT as they(TT) couldnt do it. That made me mad enough.
Now TT have billed me £17.99 monthly line rental for my old telephone number. Called them up on an 0870 number. On hold for TWENTY minutes, spoke to an adviser who told me I needed to cancel and put me back on hold in the queue. After a total of 45 mins waiting, I got through to another operator who told me I was in touch with the wrong dept. I needed to speak with Customer Services ( that was the number I called so no idea how I got through to him ). He put me back in the loop and then I got told the offices were shut !!!!
I am fuming. I have to go to work in the morning and dont want to spend tomorrow evening on the phone too. I have emailed them and complained and am posting here as I am sure that someone posted a contact address for Charles Dunstone. I am contacting him along with Sainsburys who ran in conjunction with Talk Talk for this offer !!!!

To stop Talk Talk profiting off your calls, try ringing 0800 0855900. Check out http://saynoto0870.com/ aswell, there are a few numbers listed for Talk Talk0

The only experience i have of TT is when my mum got a call from them, she asked for details to be sent out, the next thing she knew she got a letter from bt saying she had cancelled her bt account. Turned out TT had did it on her behalf believing cause she had asked for info she was signing up for the service.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

That happened to us!
We had got a phone through Dial a Phone and we called them up to order.
Whilst on the phone they asked us if we were interested in Talk Talk and we told them NO after some persistance from them.
Couple of days later a letter comes from BT saying they were sorry to lose us (?)
Got on the phone to BT and were told that Talk Talk were taking over our phone billing.
Like heck they were!
Rang TT and Dial a phone and played merry hell with them....cheeky bar stools!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
At the moment Talk Talk are trying to blame BT for not stopping Talk Talk from taking our line - a week AFTER TT were meant to have cancelled my order. BT confirm they DID stop the line, but TT went and did it anyway. Surely they are now allowed to do this. They now say all outsanding money is cancelled but I am just waiting for them to drop a bill on me someday soon. I have complained to Sainsburys too as they work in conjunction with TT on the offer I took up.0

http://www.ofcom.org.uk/consult/condocs/misselling/Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
This is probably not his personal one otherwise he would be spammed to death!! It's probably an email address that his customer care team deals with. Anyway have a go and then post back with your response(s).
