Childminding - Childcare vouchers

hello

Looking for a bit of reassurance regarding Childcare Vouchers. I am a registered childminder and a new client is looking to pay fees using Childcare Vouchers (electronically). any other childminders out there used them, and is it all pretty straightforward?

Thanks in advance

Sorry Thread, ive not come across those vouchers yet. Might be worth contacting Working tax credits (child tax credits?) for their advice.

Hi I don't have any parents unsing them at the moment but in the past 2 sets of parents paid me with them and there's no problem its dead easy and the money just goes straight into your bank .

  • A close friend of mine (a childminder) receives the vouchers, they are incredibly good.

It is all done electronically, all she had to do is fill in an incredibly simple form, send it back with her bank details, that was it!!

Now the parents of her children just go into the system via the web and click on the amount of money due that month, click send and the money is received in the bank account of the childminder in a couple of days.

She prefers the option as it saves her walking to the bank to pay in a cheque, but the clearance time is the same.

    Hope that helps.
