"Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file."
Why does my laptop keep coming up with this? [Yellow popup, right-hand corner].
Ive looked in Windows Task Manager and looked under the 'Processes' tab and the highest applications with VM useage are only MSN Messenger & Avira antivirus.
Is this down to the age of my laptop and RAM etc?

Nothing to do with age, you need more RAM, upgrade to the maximum your machine can take. Go to crucial.com, then use the system scanner. No free lunch, and no free laptop
