    Just found this, shocking!

    But they can do it but they have to declare it to you. You need to talk to your Broker first thing in the morning. If you really were not told and they are charging you, give a good boll@@@@@@ !!!

    As long as its disclosed.... £199 typical seems pretty reasonable to me.

    From what you have said it sounds like the broker (Connells?) are charging you £460 arrangement fee via the mortgage as well as the £460 fee for the valuation.

    The fact the amounts are the same doesn't make it one and the same charge!

    But I'm noy clear, if you quoted whole sentances from the offer together with the section number I might be clearer.
