Chargeback issue

Hi

Im having a slight problem, I opened my emails yesterday to find a man who bought a item from me on the 27th of march has issued his credit card company with a chargeback claim. As i had never received this before i was slightly confused so i rang paypal and they believe it may be a case of the man does not recognize the payment on his credit card bill as his address is confirmed, and it is his account on ebay but i also cant prove i sent it becasue he collected the item. So my question is if i end up having to fork over the cash for this am i in my right to drive all the way to his house to get my stuff back?

Note: I have rang/texted/emailed him already and heard nothing from him.

many thanks for your help in advance :)

  • if i was you i would go round there (if its not too far away) and say you couldnt get hold of him, and ask him either to pay you, or to give your item back!

You might be able to interest the police if a) it's a ton of money, or b) you can get a bunch of other people on board who were also victims.
