Convert png to jpg

I have a pile of photos that I want to convert from png format to jpg. I can do this one at a time in Addobe but I would like to do them as a batch.

There does appear to be software out there that can do this but I am reluctant to download anything in case it's dodgy.

Can anybody recommend any software (preferably free) that can do the job.

Irfanview is well regarded. It may do what you want.

GIMP of openoffice draw is what I use.

dummo about batch conversion (ooh er!), but i have renamed pngs to jpgs with no probs..
