ACER 3500 Dark Screen

Hi i wonder if anyone can help me with my acer laptop. The screen went very dark so bought new inverter and fitted it but no improvement at all. The screen is only a few months old as the old one got a crack in it.

Is there anything else that may need to be changed/tested to getting working properly again

As you have fitted a new screen, have you tried adjusting the screen brightness e.g. Fn + ->

Thanks espresso, When i first fitted the screen it was ok the dark screen happened a few eeks after.
Just tried what you said but no luck.

If it's not the inverter, could it be the backlight?

This here may help. The backlight is a long thin CCFL tube and it should be obvious if it's working.
