Acer eRecovery glitch

Hello,
Weird Acer problem. (Win XP)
At some point colleague noticed a tab on her toolbar (as if the program was open) showing Acer eRecovery Manager. Nothing happened if she left or right clicked on it... other than it showing the full name.
This remains on the toolbar even on restart
I took a look at task manager but couldn't identify that process in the list (I was hoping it would be obvious, but it wasn't)
Anyone have any ideas?

Try going into programs and there should be a folder named 'acer empowering technology' or something similar. Recovery manager should be in here. Click on it to start it and then close it again and see if the task bar tab disappears.0
