Tesco CC, what are the chances?

in Credit cards
I have a Tesco Club Card which I use alot, pay off every month. Soon (in the next month) I need to purchase a new tv, and was wanting to ether get barclaycard to give me an offer or take out the M&S card at 0% purchases.
What are the chances if I call tesco, of them giving me the new 0% offer or similar?

Well, there's no harm in asking, Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Just be aware that most lenders reserve their best deals, which are often heavily advertised, to draw in new applicants and increase market share.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Oh moggles, I suspect you can confirm my suspitions. I just got aan email detailing the new Play.com credit card. 9 months 0% purchases. Works better for me then M&S I shop there more BUT its backed by MBNA and I have the virgin card. Does that mean I wouldnt qualify for the 0% on the play card? (I cant seem to find anywhere thats says no on the site)The will to save every money saving penny we can0

IME and from feedback here, MBNA doesn't mind customers holding more than one card. I have held three at once.
That said, if there's a balance on your current Virgin card, particularly if it's still charged at special promotion rates, you can certainly be turned down or handed a lowish credit limit by MBNA.
OTOH, if here were no transactions on your existing card, this lender will sometimes switch your credit limit from the unused card, to give you a higher limit on the new, active onePeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Right. Yes there is a balance. 4.2K (as seen below) So, if am reading right, I will be alligible for the 0% purchases but there a higher chance of being turned down and having a low limit which may not be enough to buy the tv with.
Hum, sounds like this hinges on another thread I have about free 3 year sony warrenties. Thanks M!The will to save every money saving penny we can0 -
Do they sell the TV that you want on Tesco Direct? If so, you can use your tesco credit card on selected products over £250 using 6 months 0% buy now pay later. There are no minimum payments associated with this purchase until 6 months after the purchase.0
