My requirements are:
1) Must be small and light
2) Must be able to access the internet via Wi-Fi and by connecting via my mobile phone (either using bluetooth or USB cable) - I dont want to have to use a dongle as my data package is on my phone.
3) Must have 3 hours battery life min
4) Must be less than £200 - preferably more towards £150
I am willing to consider a refurbished machine if that saves money.
You have a tall order with 3hrs battery life, I'm using a HP 2133 which fits your requirements bar the battery life, in fact I'm using it away from home via my mobile right now :T0 -
£197.58 + ~£6 for delivery. Owzat?thescouselander wrote: »I've found the same Lenovo S9e with XP on it for £199

Not directly linked to the original post, but interesting reading.
I am also after a netbook. Main requirements are web browsing (including watching iPlayer), and doing work on XL and Word. Can netbooks also handle iTunes as would be ideal if I could sync up my iPod and update podcasts whilst away.

Netbook are actually quite powerful computers, not upto gaming or movie editing, so if you're not doing that they'll do most anything else.0

My Eee 900 copes with iPlayer admirably provided I don't switch to full-screen mode. iTunes however is something of an unknown quantity since its minimum requirements are slightly outside what most netbooks are designed for.Main requirements are web browsing (including watching iPlayer)
Of course, there are other ways to manage the contents of your iPod, even if you're using Linux.0
