Ring about your late payment!

Guys,
I missed a payment with Mint, I had cleared the balance as I normally do, then forgotten that I had paid for a hotel for work on my card.
Rang the helpline, explained the situation, they would not wave the late payment fee but said they wouldn't pass the information on to the credit score agency if I paid the minimum payment over the phone, I paid it all off anyway so everyones happy!
If you miss a payment don't just ignore it!
