Talk Talk Disaster

Hi There

I am new to this so you'll have to excuse me if my etiquette isn't up to scratch!!

I was wondering if anyone has had problems with Talk Talk. I agreed to subscribe to Talk Talk in March and was advised that my telephone line would be connected on 31st March and my broad band would go live 2 weeks later. However, 2 weeks after having my telephone connected, my broadband still wasn't operational. This is a very long story but basically I had to phone them to find out what was happening. It was then that I was informed that my broadband was not die to be connected until 2nd May! This was a full 5 weeks after my telephone connection date. However, I agreed to go along with this. 2nd May arrived and I was still awaiting a connection. I, yet again, had to contact Talk Talk and was informed that my connection would not go love until 8th May! I had no communication form them regarding this matter but I did have written confirmation that it was supposed to be 2nd May. I made a formal written complaint but got fobbed off with £15 goodwill gesture. I have taken matters further and contacted Trading Standards, Consumer Direct and Ofcom regarding this matter. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced the same problem.

Thanks
Sarahd21

Welcome to the MSE forums sarahd21.

There's a sticky thread with a poll attached near the top of the board which appears to show some people suffer the same sort of problems.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
