A decision has been made, apparently....

Hi,
I took natweststaffmembers advice and just made another call to Abbey about my claim. Told them i know they are looking at a 3-4 week turnaround, but i am desperate and last night (just because God loves me SO much) my electrics went in my airing cupboard - so i am now without hot water and despite hunting in my armpit and among the fluff under the sofa cannot find a spare £600 to get it fixed. Marvellous.
The guy i spoke with informed me that a decision has been made, the claim is with the manager now who is just checking it through and i will be hearing from them very soon - possibly by the end of this week.
I asked if he could indicate if it was a good decision, but he cannot discuss that with me on the phone - but reiterated i will hear VERY soon.
He said no further proof/info was needed from me. ( i hadnt actually sent them any hard copy proof of our arrears as i sent the form in so quickly, but advised i could send them anything they needed on request)
I said, ok - i understand he cant discuss it over the phone but i will now worry until i get the letter.
He said not to worry and hopefully i will be happy with what has been decided.
Now, i have been let down many times in life so i am trying really hard not to get my hopes up - but in my head this sounds favourable, or do you think i am being stupid?
this is going to be a long wait for the postman.......and if it isnt a good decision i dont know what i will do.
Sorry for the babble, but thankyou for listening

You could try this:
About a month ago I was waiting for a decision from Natwest. I phoned only to be told that a letter was on the way and to wait. Anyway I phoned one of their collection centres about a loan arrears letter that I had gotten and told them that I couldn't pay as I was waiting to hear about my hardship claim. They said I was not in hardship and that I had recieved a letter telling about this and then gave me the correct figures from my I&E form. When I asked why they could give me this when the the department dealing with my claim refused to they quickly clammed up.
It might work you never know?0 -
