I have a household policy through the website broker Only Insurance. The policy is actually insured by NIG.

I need to amend the policy, and tried to contact Only Insurance at their listed Contact Phone numbers on the website. Since Friday morning 15th May it has not been possible to contact them either by phone or e-mail. All the phone-numbers go straight to audix (ie voicemail); and no reply so far from e-mails.

The trouble is that NIG are not authorised to deal directly with the public. So even though I can contact NIG, they cannot amend the policy. Impasse!

I have contacted the Financial Services Authority, who have advised me to contact Only Insurance at their registered address, by mail.

Meanwhile, it may be best not to use Only Insurance to buy new insurance cover.

I believe Only Insurance have gone tits up, your policy with NIG will still be valid.

What will normally happen is another broker or Insurer (Probably Towergate) will buy only Insurance for their client base.

Like I said your policy will still be valid.

I would recommend you ring NIG and explain the situation and ask them to amend your policy etc

They have gone into administration (Only Insurance Brokers) but the Only aggregator is still alive and kicking.
