Problems with Nectar?

Has anyone had any problems with points failing to appear on their Nectar card balance?
Since the scheme was launched I've had repeated problems with a variety of Nectar's partners:
• Cashiers at BP garages who don't know how to add "bonus point vouchers" or wrongly tell you they don't accept them (AFTER you've paid for the fuel!)
• A Ford dealership that incorrectly said it wasn't part of the Nectar scheme and couldn't add my Nectar points
• Points failing to appear in my account after online purchases from Comet and Apple who are part of Nectar's online e-stores scheme
• Points earned at Debenhams (offline) failing to appear in my account
Above all, it always feels like I'm banging my head against a brick wall when I try to get the missing points. Invariably the wasted time and cost of calling 0870 numbers exceeds the value of the points I am trying to claim back.
Often the retailer will pass the buck straight to Nectar, then Nectar will pass it back to the retailer. It's hard to get anyone to take ownership of the problem.
I've found it very hard to get in touch with Nectar by e-mail - the e-mails I send to them nearly always bounce because of their over-zealous spam/virus filters, and I've spent a fortune phoning their call centre in India - did you know it costs 75p for a 10-minute call which is not good considering the amount of time they keep you on hold and pass you around various departments. To add insult to injury, Nectar take a share of the cost of the call - so you could say they're profiting from their own incompetence.
If anyone else has had problems with Nectar please post them here, as I'm thinking of starting a protest website.
