Weekend away!! £27.00 for return flights - for two - no kids! :-*0

Ten lousy quid, bah forget it. They would have to pay me _much_ more than that to fly with them again. C'mon Ryanair make it a ton and we'll talk.I ♥ MSE0

Found a hotel just outside Nimes that will do a family room for the 4 of us, (me and 3 kids - and two of them are quite big kids), for £51 a night. I think it's actually not a bad hotel, though I would have settled for a B&B. It was the cheapest I could find on the web. Could probably have got a slightly better deal by phoning the hotel directly, but my french isn't up to it. I can ask for things and be polite, but I don't think I can negotiate in french. And hotels in towns that are business centres always cost more, anyway. And no breakfast. Now I just have to find some cheap-arsed place to stay for 3 days. ;D
I also got a flight to to Reus in Spain for all of us in January, and manged to book two double rooms at half board in a hotel that had lots of very good reviews on one of those holiday truth sites, for £218 for 3 nights for all of us. Total cost of trip - roughly £260, plus taxi or bus from the airport.
We are going to get a lot out of our 3 nights, too, as we are due to arrive in Spain at about 9.40 in the morning, and don't leave until roughly the same time in the evening 3 days later. We could have stayed an extra day, but the only available cheap flight was 10 in the morning, so there was no point paying for another night.
Well that is a result for me, as I thought we weren't going to be able to manage a foreign holiday this year. Thanks for posting about this. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't seen it here!
(We only miss 3 days of actual school with all this jet setting about, and school will authorise that, no problem. They usually say that they'll probably be learning more by going abroad than they would have learned by staying at school!A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
Ryanair do a good hostel finder, too. It's cheap, friendly accommodation for people on a budget. We would have used them, but there weren't any that I could find in the places we wanted to stay.
Some of those around and in Barcelona look very nice, and it is within reach of Reus airport I think, so they might be useful for anyone who netted one of the spanish flights. There were loads of dates free when I looked. I couldn't believe it, because those deals usually seem so hard to find!A penny saved is a penny gained0 -

No hotels found in Salou for my dates, according to their search.
I'll remember them for next time, though. You never know.A penny saved is a penny gained0
