I have a 2003 focus and ive googled this problem but just want to know roughly how much it would be to fix?
I have a leak and the passenger side footwell it completley soaked!!! Apparantley it was a fault with the focus and something to do with a gutter from the air cooler?
Its doing my head in!!!
Thanks in advance

I've had it with astras before where leaves have blocked the drain points on the heater.
Erm...http://www.focusfanatics.com/
Try asking in the forums on there..
I've got 2 issues with mums that have me stumped, the interior light doesn't work, and the heater motor does nothing..yet all fuses and switches seem fine. Ruddy daft car. It made me turn the air blue on saturday for a few hours.0 -
DIY in first instance open bonnet and check for any debris in gutter below screen also check to see if there are any blocked run of holes (don't know if this is relevant to a Focus but worth a look)0

Damp footwell could be blocked drains (open the bonnet, look to the back of the engine, plastic grilles), or it could be a leaking heater matrix. Is the engine loosing any coolant?
As for the faulty interior light, that could be a faulty door switch, and the dead heater could be a failed regulator. The only way to tell is with the use of a multimeter.0 -
Known fault on Focus. The black scuttle panel at the base of the screen which covers the pollen filter / heater air intake has a foam seal on it that rots away. A new seal is a couple of pounds from Ford. Also the panel was modified to help divert any water away from the heater intake. About £20 - 30 max should see it sorted.0

As above or actual new pollen filter as the seal goes on the filter after a time. Ours was the filter0

my heater stopped working- it seems to only work on no4 and it blasts!!!
