When should you ask for money back?

I bought something off ebay from Ireland two weeks ago and it hasn't arrived. I've heard nothing from seller by way of item has been sent and I emailed yesterday but have no reply yet. They have one negative feedback for same item saying it hasn't arrived.

I've never had this problem before, when should I open a paypal claim? I don't really want to cause trouble for person but I don't want to be conned either!

I'd open it now, you can close it if it ever arrives.

I would open a dispute at once. That in itself will get the sellers attention.

If they haven't contacted you by the weekend that I would suggest that you escalate it to a claim.
