Click-clack waste?

I had my bathroom redone a couple of months ago and the bath was fitted with click-clack waste plug - I like the idea as it looks great, but I wonder how to clean it - I have long hair and water is draining slowly now, think it must be the hair... but I have no idea how to get the hair from the waste as the plug will not come out? Does anyone have any idea? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If it is the one I am thinking off that you just push down to seal the waste then push down to to open the waste then it should just unscrew. Be careful though as on some of these types of plugs the thread is flimsy so don't over tighten when putting it back.

Thanks, I'll give it a go! Yes that's the one. So it should unscrew while I push it down while it's closed?

Easier to do it whilst its open don't use brute force though be delicate and don't blame me if you break it :D

Wow, done it! Thanks Diable for your excellent advice! Unscrewed it easily while open :)

You wouldn't want to know what came out! Ugh!

I was a married man once and had to regularly clean out the plug hole, I just used to leave it in the toilet pan and wait for the ex to scream

    Hotcookie,
Actually it was very easy to remove the hair (think it was about two pounds of it lol) once you screw that thing off - much simpler than the other stuff I had before - well once you know that you have to unscrew it! I'll just have to do it more often.
