Thanks for the heads up. I've just reserved one. I've got enough Nectar points to get it 'free'0

I've had mine since christmas. It's ok for convenience, but don't expect a boiling hot drink. If you don't consume your drink within a very short period of time it goes cold. But for £28 i'ts worth a try0

What about those filters? How hard would it be for some cack-handed people in their 80s with poor eyesight to change them?
How often do they need changing? How much do they cost?0 -
I haven't found the filters cheaper than £4.50 each myself but I keep looking! The filter change indicator light has been stuck on on mine since I changed it last month so won't even know when it's time to change it! But have to say I LOVE the convenience and quickness of itSome people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0

I had one of these for a few months. I drink a lot of tea and had to descale every fortnight with white vinegar ( the indicator light flashed to let me know) so with the cost of cartridges and the vinegar it is far cheaper for me to use a kettle and also get a hotter brew, so I returned it to amazon and got a refund.0

Does anyone have a sufficiently enquiring mind to test this with a energy monitor plug, and see how much power it uses to heat a mug of water compared with a normal kettle?
I was going to make a joke about "a thirst for knowledge", but thought better of it.0 -

I have had one of these for about 6 months and I think its great - especially as the kids now make me a cup of tea as it's easy to do - and no lifting a hot kettle full of boiling water. Only downside of course is that it only dispenses a cup of water at a time - so you if you want to fill a saucepan it is more gradual - but still probably less time than a conventional kettle.
OMG I am such a noob!!!:rotfl: Just went in the kitchen and realised I don't infact have one of these!!! I decided against one of these as they don't dispense boiling water - so I bought the Breville One Cup instead. Sorry. Very happy with that tho.Heard the Shaggy Taxi Wind Up Phone Call?
