E: UNKNOWN - Overclock.co.uk stock clearance sale (tech) (merged)

Found this when browsing their site:

Link

Seems rather cheap @ £6.99 (inc VAT), especially for retail (i.e. not OEM).

Good spot though they are rather steep with their P&P charges.

eg https://www.ebuyer.com do a similar total cost...

    Quickfind 084734

Just noticed they have a stock clearance sale going on, with up to 20% off. Might be to coincide with their new site appearing in 3 days.

    http://www.overclock.co.uk/customer/home.php?cat=761
    http://www.overclock.co.uk/customer/home.php?cat=782

All sorts of computer parts on sale. Memory, video cards, watercooling kits, cases, motherboards, speakers, etc.

Edit: just noticed front page says savings on hard drives and CPUs too on the main site:

    Hard drives: http://www.overclock.co.uk/customer/home.php?cat=256
    CPUs: http://www.overclock.co.uk/customer/home.php?cat=265

Oh and 10% off the Sapphire ATi Radeon X1900 XT-X 512MB. Why can't they just put all the sale items in one place. Not a well organised site, but maybe why the are redoing it.

    Er - that's a CR-ROM drive - it doesn't WRITE anything!

Thought the clearance sale was over since they have the new site up. When you go to the clearance section nothing comes up. But then realised you need to select the categories on the left. So clearance sale is still on. Better looking site now too.

They were probably referring to Overclockers.co.uk. I've never heard a good word about them either. Overclock, on the other hand, seem to have a good reputation on the net. I've ordered from them a few times and been happy with the results. But I do agree that the delivery charges are quite steep.
  • i think it was overclockers, not overclock too.

just do a search in google groups

Yep, it's overclockers (ocuk) who I keep hearing have bad customer service, so different retailer. Overclock.co.uk have a forum where customers can comment on service, so worth checking that out.
