Slip -Slide -Shuffle

I was round at a friends last night & she was moaning about how Barclays were ripping her off with a 29% interest rate on her 'Initial' Credit Card.
I finished reading Martin's book a while back & remembered his Slip -Slide -Shuffle approach to kerbing Credit Card Debts.
A bad credit history & current debts restrict what other cards she can get - but I suggested she had nothing to lose by attempting the 'Slip' part of this process. She would just have to ring Barclays up & ask if they could give her a better deal.
Following a three minute call, in which she was passed on to another section twice she ended up having her interest rate dropped to 18.9%. Along with the comments 'seeing as you are a loyal Barclays customer that is no problem' & 'that will be in place from tomorrow thanks for your call'.

Needless to say I am in my mates good books now!
