Hmm, sounds like she's been watching kids tv (there's alot of adverts for stuff for kids to ask their parents for!).
There probably won't ever be an eye-toy for the xbox...
Maybe you could get her a gamecube, they're really cheap on eBay and they've got some really great games like:
Mario Dance Stage
Donkey Konga 2
Mario Party 7
Pikmin 2
Mario Kart: Double Dash

(I've got one of these myself, and there's plenty of places to get those games cheaper (eBay seems to be the best place for video games)).

Personally, if and when you decide to purchase I would go for the DS.

Very clever design, nothing like it on the market with an extensive range of games due to its backwards compatability with all the old GameBoy games. Prices as always will keep coming down ... but I wouldn't have thought Xmas would be the time to purchase.

Just a though but when I bought my DS (which I love) I traded in my GBA - This was at GAME - I'm sure the guy said that they sell off the better trade ins. Im sure some DS consoles will have been traded in against PSP consoles - might be worth an enquiry?
