Tesco Desktop deals

Hello money savers!!

Ive clocked some Philips desktop for sale in Tesco. Its got a 17"tft , DVD writer , printer and XP software etc. 1024 MB RAM (not sure if this is Ram) for £575. Check out the link

    Me neither - the price doesn't seem that great even just from the sound of it.

    You can get a lot more bang for your buck elsewhere.

    As the others said, I can't see this deal either.

    The price is not great, nor I suspect is most of the brands that Tesco sell. 1024Mb is the system RAM, but you don't say about the CPU (Processor). Better deals are available from places like Dell/Mesh.

    What do you intend to use the PC for?

    I intend to use it for photos and music.

    I saw the deal in the store last night but I can't see it on the web site but thought I would ask a general question about the stuff they are selling.

    By 'Photos and Music' I guess you mean attaching your digital camera to transfer pics and a small bit of editing. Plus listening to some CD's/MP3's.

    Nothing special required here in terms of computing power, so you can go for a fairly basic model. As previously suggested, look at Dell Deals and the Dell Outlet, other people may also have recommendations.
