Our old ESS also had this prescribed when he was about 10 or 11 as a result of 'funny' turns whilst out on his walks. - he kept falling down every so often. Turned out his heart was missing a beat now and then. Anyhow, he was on this medication for the rest of his life until he was PTS at the age of 13. Hope this helps.0

Vivitonin seems to either work very well or not at all. If it works, it is likely life-long but it should be obvious after a month as to whether it is helping0

did not have a lot of time to go into detail this morning as on my way to work but as i understood it its 1 of 3 things at best, just a 1 off middle ear thing that the tabs should clear up, or its a permanent middle ear issue & she has to stay on them forever, or worst case scenario is that its brain tumour & only time will tell - vet is gonna see her after a month & decide whether to bring her off them & see, or if she still has symptoms then to stay on & moniter - her legs still go from under her only occassionaly now & her head tilt has improved but shes not perfectly back to normal yet, if she ever will recover to that degree0

Our harrier has been on them for about 5 years now. They keep him well & his head tilt is only noticable when he is tired or run down. We have not noticed any side effects in him.

been back to vet, seen a different vet again, he's taken her off the vivitonin & is now given her a course of steroids as she still had a slight head tilt after 3 weeks on the vivtonin, also still can't rule out brain tumour0
