Have been made redundant today and need to make a cv so could really do with Word on my laptop :(

does anywhere do free and clean downloads of it

    For what you want, Open Office is free and, more importantly, totally legal to download.

    I would agree with that. I've been using OpenOffice since having problems with my computer a few weeks ago and it is absolutely fine and very easy to get used to, not much different than Microsoft Office. I have used the word processing and spreadsheets and am a big fan, especially as they are free.

    Wouls second Abiword. Free, simple and more than powerful enough to do a CV.
    When cycling, I pay the same road tax as any other zero carbon emission vehicle.

    No because that would be illegal...

    As above, use free software such as Open Office or buy Word or MS Office from Amazon or another shop...

    Don't pirate software, it costs us all money.
