Only being a young un (28 which feels old, lol) I don't remember them, but am told there used to be similar places around many years ago. I think the suggestion was health and safety or something closed them all down?
Seems quite expensive though, and I wonder what happens if you end up with the car on the ramp in bits, a bolt shears off and you can't get it back together

thats a good idea, ive often thought about it,but i too thought it would be a health and safety nightmare if / when something goes wrong.
due to the issues it would mostly be diyers,i would imagine folks cars would be off the road and stuck on a ramp for a while when the innevitible bolt shears or something came off but wont go back on,or simply just wont start again.
but a good buisness idea,i would probably use one near me if i was stuck. (have occasional use of a transporter trailer to help with the stuff underneath)...work permit granted!0 -
Ohh thats brilliant, how very MSE, I can service my own car but have always been put off as its easy on a ramp, but soo much harder on your back with the car on axle stands. Even better if there is access to a compressor, being a girly and not very strong getting wheels off is a nightmare!2009 wins: Cadburys Chocolate Pack x 6, Sally Hansen Hand cream, Ipod nano! mothers day meal at Toby Carvery! :j :j :j :j0
