Reduction of minimum fare on 16-25 railcard

As those who have one of these know you (generally) can't get a discount with the card before 10am Mon-Fri (Sept - June) UNLESS you fare is over £16 for a return.

The good news is..

As of 17th May 2009 the minimum fare for the young persons (& full time student) railcard HAS BEEN REDUCED to £12 instead of £16.

Yes you are right. Do many people buy singles nowadays out of interest? They are very similar prices to returns for the journey I make.
