To wait or not to wait???

For the first time EVER it looks like we will be able to go abroad with our 17 and 12 yr old. We don't mind where we go, but will still need to be looking for a great bargain (oldest one off to uni soon). I have something like morocco in mind, but we are still really flexible. Anywhere but France really. Big question is.... do we look for bargains now, or leave it up to a few days before we can travel? Not experienced in this field due to lack of available practice! Probably looking at some time in August. Any help regarding sites much appreciated.

Normally I'd advise you to wait and book a last minute deal but as you're planning to travel during a peak holiday period I think you may have trouble getting a bargain.

Simon Calder was on This Morning yesterday and he recommended that if you have to travel in August then to book a business flight to a city such as Milan (apparantly business people travel less during August and seats are readily available) and book a hire car so that you can travel onward from the airport to a seaside destination.

Sorry to be thick - is the idea to go to a business type destination (I'm assuming) or try to travel business class? - told you I'm green on this one! Yep still stuck with the school holidays sadly.
