Travel Insurance - can expact contract in UK?

I'm looking for an annual travel insurane cover, but I live here in Brazil. Looking locally, a lot of the covers are period based and end up rather expensive. Is it possible for an expact to contract travel insurance, based on those recommended on the site, or is it only for residents?

If you take out a "normal" travel policy from an Insurer in the UK it will be subject to you being a UK resident or sometimes an EU citizen based in the UK. The other issue is that if they need to repatriate you after medical treatment thye bring you back to the UK. Bear in mind that repatriation can often be in an air ambulance and you can still be needing further treatment so I doubt a UKL policy would cover you and be suitable for you.
There are companies that offer cover UK ex pats, that will repatriate you to whatever country you live in. The policy wordings are in English and offer simlar cover to "normal" uk policies. However they are expensive.
You could try John Wason for a quote(They also offer contents cover for expats)0
