Hi, grateful if someone could help, I've got a sweex wireless router/modem, had no problems for months, did a hard reset a couple of times today to re-setup the router for home networking and all of a sudden its stopped working.
The power light comes on ok, and if i ethernet it onto my pc the light comes up but it wont ping. It also will not hard reset again. Any ideas appreciated.

Which of these models is it and what is your operating system?
Open a command window (Start - All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt) and in that window enter:
ipconfig/all
and copy and paste the output here. (Disguise any IP address that doesn't begin with '192').0 -
Ours tend to lose contact sometimes. Usually unplugging it from its electricity supply, waiting a minute or two and then reconnecting the power forces it to look and reconnect.0

Thanks for the reply. Its the annex A wireless joby, im going to reconnect it in the morning and will post the results. I did try a ping on it and it wouldnt return a result, I did an ipconfig and it did show the results just cant remember off hand. Do you think that this might be stopping it from performing a hard reset with the reset button on the back of the router? If you find my post helpful please do not click thanks, instead please send the thanks to my paypal account.:beer:0 -
Have you tried resetting to factory defaults using that option on the router config screen? Run the Diagnostic Test and update the firmware, even if it is already using the latest.0
