Reclaiming charges with RBS - help needed

Hi

I have sent the first letter to RBS reclaiming £2500 in bank charges.
They have responded following:
"We will resolve your complaint once the legal proceedings between the OFT and the banks are determined.
We can assure you we have registered and stored your complaint. Please retain your bank records, as this wil make it easier for you to support your complaint on resolution of the test case.

If you have any question, please check our website
rbs.co.uk/overdraftchargesupdate or call us on 0845 3030 442."

What are the next steps, should I send the second letter or file a claim?
Thanks

Do you have any priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?

At the moment the bank may well not payout on hardship as that seems to be their criteria for doing so.

So do I send the second letter and then start a claim?

Up to you but they have already acknowledged the claim so keep that letter filed securely. If your circumstances get worse then by all means get them to re look at the case.
