what if i put myself into hardship?

At the moment I am in reciept of a benefit called JSA hardship provision. I am getting this as the department for work and pensions ruled that I made myself deliberately unemployed. Basically I walked out on my last job.
Do you think this will be a problem for my claim against my bank, the fact I resigned my last job? Or is it simply a case of reviewing your financial situation and commitments. Or do they (like department for work and pensions) care about HOW you became in financial difficulty.
Im asking this as Im probably going to be enclosing a DWP statement to the bank when i ask for charges to be refunded. This will i hope prove im on benefits.
Should i worry about this though, will the bank likely as me why im on hardship provision, and finding out i walked out of my last job will this invalidate my claim?
I do owe rather a lot of money on my rent (£650+) and I have included a statement from my housing association to this affect. so will this matter?
what do you recon
does walking out on a job invalidate a hardship status for a bank claim, I guess the bank COULD argue i created my own hardship so its tough, or will they not act in this way?
Do you think my bank (barclays) will dig deeper if i show them my DWP statement saying im on hardship provision (its some type of means tested dole you get if your JSA is 'sanctioned'..i got 3 months after walking out of my last job). the statement from DWP doesnt in-fact explain what hardship allowance JSA is or why im on it just that i am and how much i will be getting each week.

I resigned from my last job, unfortunately they sacked me before the required period was up. You need to include things like priority debt arrears, ie rent arrears letters, utilities, council tax because having JSA is not necessarily mean you are in financial hardship. Have you looked at Local Housing Allowance/Housing benefit? I was sacked but still got LHA0

ah so you dont get JSA if you get sacked? not entirely relavent to this posting but hey im curious!
So yeagh im on LHA thats nee bother but as i resigned the DWP refused to give me JSA as I had 'deliberately made myself unemployed'. I was told I could get something called 'hardship allowance' which i claimed but this is basically JSA /5 then X 3 or 4 depending on what the case reviewer decided.
why did natwest fire u?
in my case i got put on 3/5 of hardship which was about £33 a week for six months. then i get the normal £64 JSA again.
My rent was getting paid into my account not the landlords so i ended up spending rent money to cover bills like phone tv licence food all dat. £33 a week to live on!
I did include a letter from the housing association with my bank charges reclaim letter, it a bit old (feb 17) but states what my arrears where then,:T like i said before over £650 pounds.
Ive included copies of my most recent bank statement, p45, dwp award letter over there lovely £33 a week etc etc and asked the bank to cough up £810 in bank charges its had me for (which doesnt include interest).
I hope they will pay it (obviously).
Do you think if i find a job before they pay out it will affect my claim?0 -
I got JSA when I was dismissed. I think you will get a job before you get paid out, it all depends on the jobs available and what you are prepared to do to get that job.
It would affect your claim cos there would be a change of circumstances but getting a job is the main thing
