So, how is everyone doing?

Is it me or has the preperation kind of died down? Things have been done, places booked, dresses ordered and now we seem to be in that lull, that no man's land where we just sit and twiddle out thumbs.

hi ya yeh i thought that other day about everyone seems to be more or less sorted ,
ive not got much to do now rmostly paying for things at min :-( worst bit lol
well my oldest bridesmaid has !!!!ed me off cos at begining she said she would go to gym with me we went for 1yr then she stopped going so i carried on a bit but didnt enjoy going on my own so went for my dress fitting and thought this is it its how im going to be on my wedding day (was gutted cos wanted to loose weight but happy in another way ) well now she has decidied to start going again !!!!!!!! with her daughter another one of my bridesmaids , im !!!!ed off cos she has started going now after my fitting and cos if they looses any weight now there dresses is not going to fit which will cost more money to be altered than the price of the bloody dress (sorry just getting it off my chest )
and ive told her i am going to book me and my 2 oldest b maids into salon to have our makeup done on the dayfor a treat me paying, for her to say she`ll do her own , i know shes entitled but wanted to do something nice , then i asked if she would be able to try and come to a spa hotel for a bridal day straight away she said no !! wats the point of me having older bridesmaids if they wont do anything with me !! sorry guys but feels good to get that off me chest xx
    wins :- x2 hair dyes ,mascara, epilator,personalised card , glass photo ,

    No where near done!
I'm in shoe throwing mode! ( I chucked a fliip flop at sil2b once and it's become a standing joke!) He needs to get his birth certificate sorted so they can book a date and he really doesn't see what all the rush is about:rolleyes: As far as he's concerned there's ooodles of time - erm August in Spain I don't think so!
We're on the dress quest, we tried on some last Saturday so she is more aware of what she wants and what she doesn't, thing is she looked fabulous in them all!
Have to say, the one that ticked the most boxes costs a fair bit, Maggie Harlow priced at £1100:eek:
She thinks she knows her colour but can't do anything about bm dresses until she knows her dress style, we have an idea of flowers that will go but we're stuck until dresses are decided:confused:
Come on sil2b find that bit of paper!:rotfl:

My plans have kind of hit a lull but only because OH was taken into hospital last week :( He's ok now though!

I am going to order some Fimo at the end of the week to have a go at making my own cake toppers.

Also, was going to make our own invites but going to price what we need from this website (plus taxes) as I just don't know where we're going to get the time as I am going to be very busy with work from September time until end of January and OH is very busy with work just now. We will then make the Order of Service and place cards ourselves.

The diet was meant to have started last week as well but 'nuff said about that for the moment!!!!

I think there's quite a few of us May brides who may have done everything or are on honeymoon at the moment. We've just got a few little things left to do. Unfortunately (as I wrote on another thread), OH has hurt his leg and been signed off work. He's off to the doctors tomorrow to see how it's doing.

It's kind of calmed me down though as I now have something more important to think about, plus it's almost like something's gone wrong but it's all still going to be ok.
Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

I too, and nowhere near done.

i have booked church, booked venue. Friend is doing my photos for portfolio, and ...thats about as much as i've done.

More or less sorted my invites/r.s.v.p/order of service, designed them and awaiting samples to come.

Found the picture of the cake i am going to practice in a few months to replicate but thats it.

I have not been anywhere near a bridal shop to try dresses on, not doing that until after I get back from my holls in Sept (is this too late? as was going to order from landy?) need to sort bridesmaids too.

So as you can see lots to do.

    Sorry Chris,

although sil2b thought we should do this year
it is Next year but lots of accommodation gets booked up really early (as you probably know) so she wants to let everyone know the change of plan as soon as she can so they can decide if they want to come or not.
She needs to set the date so they know which week they are looking at and some have to request their holiday weeks 12 months in advance.
As for dresses, well judging by the price of the one we know there's going to have to be some tough decisions made!
Actually, I just love chucking flip flops at my sil2b:rotfl:

Well i have bought bits and pieces for wedding and we are going to venue next week to finally provsionally book it as there has been loads of things getting in the way, we should have done it about 6 weeks ago!
I just have to wait for my parents to return from Turkey so my dad can see it as he is paying for it...
Currently looking for my dress as linda knows haha (i didn't go for the dress i showed you the other day in the end as in my heart it wasn't for me) so i am snooping ebay for bargains.
My evening dress arrived today, it is nice but i don't think i will wear it so it'll be back on ebay in a few weeks.
